Thought-reader’s Journal

This is my first post and I am sure you all want to start with “What the heck is a thought-reader?” Well I am an entertainer and thought reading is my chosen medium is the art. I perform mystifying feats of mentalism for my clients. I use the term thought reading as coined by renowned thought-reader Banachek. He expressed it this way which I agree with whole-heartedly. Thought reading is like when you see a couple sitting on a bench in the park. A beautiful woman walks by and the man stares at her. The woman immediately slaps the man. Now see you don’t have to read their minds to know what they are thinking. So I perform effects or tests more specifically aimed towards thought reading. (Obviously I can’t read minds). What is the purpose of this blog. Well to be honest I am just going to write about different experiences I have mostly relating to my job as an entertainer. I am not sure if I intend to impart any wisdom, as if I would even have any to impart, but more just to tell the story and let you get what you will from it and increase my presence more online.

Starting from the beginning seems an exhausting chore so for now I will just be relating recent events as they occur. Like most of my recent time has been spent preparing for my first real stage performance. It has been exhausting researching all the different subjects akin to scripting a performance. I tend to be a bit obsessive about getting everything perfect and over preparing. As some of you may know I have been attempting to prepare myself for stage work by performing at The Stables Loony Bin Comedy Club on open mic night. It has been quite a blessing to have that around to help me prepare for my own solo performance.  Also two of my co workers Betty and Cathy have been forced to watch me perform several times a week for the last 9 months as I try and hone my craft as much as possible before going public. They have been a patient and wonderfully attentive and appreciative audience and I can’t thank them enough for it. At this point I am down to practicing my routine as much as possible. I have everything outlined and now actually scripted so its just practice, practice, practice to get ready for May 6th. If you don’t know what I am referring to I am performing a ~30-45 min stage show at the Baxter Springs Cowtown Spring Fling on May 6th. Everyone should come down. If not just to watch me (let’s face it though my show will be badass) then to watch the many other bands or take in the car or craft show they have on site as well. It will be a great event to take your family too. Oh yea did I mention its FREE!. Alright enough of that and back to me lol. I shouldn’t lol in a blog I realize now how awful that looks. Oh well.

Congrats on making it this far in my first attempt at blogging. I will try and maybe fail miserably to keep this up at least once a week. I promise it will get better too! I am off to get ready for my son’s fifth birthday. Its crazy they grow up so fast but I just can’t convince him to stop. See you next time.
